Over the years the lord created an amazing path along the Drava River, where he would often walk or ride his Lipizzaner. Because he was an influential politician, a diplomat and an important person, he would clear his mind and prepare for meetings at the green lake. He would sit on his wooden bench, contemplate and pamper his eyes by looking at the beautiful lake and the nature around him.
While looking for hidden coins you may run into a wooden cottage, which is the home to the PUPENLUDL. Oral tradition has it that a kind-hearted hermit used to live at the riverside and collected rag dolls. Because he was unable to speak or communicate normally with the surroundings, he was excluded to the edge of society. People would call him “PUPENLUDL” or boy with rag dolls. Find his cottage and the whole story along the Water Way.
The water path along the Drava River combines an educational themed path with a playful orientation adventure, where children look for the lord’s hidden coins while discovering the river and river basin. You can visit 15 different bulletin boards and find the lord’s 5 lost coins.
A unique bench awaits along the Drava Riverbank, where the lord would clear his mind, fish or relax in the soothing environment of the Drava River. The activity booklet will make the hunt and exploration even more playful, educational and fun.
The path has been marked with coloured marks in the form of a horseshoe.
